We look back on some of our biggest stories of 2025, from Labubu creator Kasing Lung and Lang Lang to Roger Federer

As the end of any year approaches, it is common to take stock of achievements, occurrences, highs and lows. While there were many wonderful moments for Hong Kong in 2025, we cannot ignore the tragic fires in Tai Po, that rocked our city, and the effects of which continue to affect us. But if Hong Kong is anything, it is resilient, and as we support those in need to rebuild, there is also space to reflect on the many other things we are proud of.

As editor at large for Tatler in Hong Kong, it is my privilege to work closely with editors on their stories from inception—this year has seen some spectacular writing about influential, impactful individuals from around the world.

Here are seven of the most inspiring cover stories from 2025. Enjoy.

Full disclosure: I have a co-writing credit on this story, but that’s not why it’s a highlight. We are forever inspired and grateful. Read it here.
