Cover Nong Noey, is the main mascot of bakery Butterbear, and has won over millions of hearts

Besides the Butterbear shop and brand endorsements, what other projects are you working on?

For the first time, I got to act in the series Jet Lag. I’m really excited about it. The project pushed my acting abilities. I’ll also be staging a concert soon, and there are new songs coming out that I can’t wait to share with everyone. I’m always eager to try new things.

You clearly love dancing and singing, but it seems you’re always working. When do you find time to practice, and how often do you rehearse?

I love singing and dancing so much—the rhythm lives in my heart. Whenever I have time and my homework is done, I’m practicing constantly. If I’m not eating or sleeping, honestly, I’m even practicing in my dreams.

When choosing songs to cover, how do you make your selections?

I pick songs with dance moves that speak to me, or songs with rhythms that get my heart racing and make me want to leap out of bed and dance.

You wear stunning outfits every day, never repeating an ensemble. Who selects your clothes, and what's your preferred style?

Actually, I choose my own outfits quite often. Sometimes my nanny helps me pick them. And I have wonderful mum-bears and dad-bears who send me beautiful outfits all the time. I love getting dressed up. I’m beautiful so I look good in everything! There are days where sometimes my choices aren’t quite right.

You’ve attracted fans far beyond Thailand and have a significant international following. How does it feel to be famous across borders?

I want to thank all the mum-bears, dad-bears and sisters who have come to see me. I’m genuinely happy and excited every time I meet everyone. I’ll work hard to keep practicing my singing and dancing to keep creating adorable content. I hope that one day I’ll have the chance to travel and meet my fans around the world in person. Thank you for flying all the way to Thailand to see me!

With this level of fame, do you consider yourself soft power or an icon of Thailand?

My soft power is the ability to “heal hearts”. If my passion for singing and dancing—and my little chubby belly—can make people fall a little bit more in love with Thailand, then I’ve successfully fulfilled my role as a tiny icon.
