Move over Ambanis, there’s a new big, fat Indian wedding that’s doing the rounds on social media. When a pharma heiress married a Forbes 30 Under 30 tech entrepreneur in Udaipur last month, the world’s elite descended on the City of Lakes for what became India’s most viral celebration of the year
Remember last year when the Anant Ambani-Radhika Merchant wedding had us all glued to our screens, gasping at Rihanna’s performances and celebrity cameos? Well, in November 2025, there’s a new contender from India for the “wedding of the century” title.
From November 21 to 23, Udaipur in Rajasthan, India, transformed into a glittering playground for billionaires, Bollywood A-listers, Jennifer Lopez and Donald Trump Jr. The occasion was the wedding of Netra Mantena, daughter of pharmaceutical entrepreneur Rama Raju Mantena and tech founder Vamsi Gadiraju. As the couple exchanged vows in style, it quickly became the most talked-about celebration since, well, the Ambani extravaganza.

Who is the power couple?

Unlike the household names we’re used to seeing splashed across wedding headlines, Netra and Vamsi kept a relatively low profile—until their wedding quite literally exploded across social media.
Netra is the daughter of Orlando-based Ingenus Pharmaceuticals chairman Rama Raju Mantena, a billionaire who runs research and development facilities in the US, Switzerland and India. Her father’s journey from Andhra Pradesh to building a pharmaceutical empire is the stuff of entrepreneurial legend, with an estimated net worth hovering around US$20 million.
The groom’s story is equally impressive. Vamsi Gadiraju is the co-founder and chief technology officer of Superorder, a Columbia University graduate whose start-up helps multi-location restaurants streamline delivery and takeaway services. The young entrepreneur earned his stripes early, landing on the 2024 Forbes 30 Under 30 list.
